Vuthtyra (Teera) Yong

          I am passionate about developing the next generation of materials and material systems that benefit people and the planet. I have a strong research background in synthesizing and characterizing bio-based materials for packaging films, coatings, adhesives, and green composites. During my graduate study, I have immersed myself in many laboratory experiences, including electro-spinning, protein encapsulation, bacteria cellulose, fiber treatment, cross-linkers, green thermo-set resins, and hybrid fiber-reinforced green composites. I have principal knowledge of polymer, glass, and semiconductor. Along with diverse experience in mechanical testing, failure analysis, and advanced analytical techniques, I am also familiar with FEA, engineering software tools and Apps including MATLAB, AutoCAD, Ansys, CATIA, and Fusion 360.
